A Cross-Cultural Special Event and Natural Lightscape – PES Featured on “Style Me Pretty”

1024 683 Pacific Event Services

We are thrilled that Pacific Event Services was featured on Style Me Pretty Magazine after we designed the lighting! Shivani and David wished to be surrounded by color, natural elements, and love. Their visual was a blend of rich heritages and a culmination of all their cultures. We set out to create a lightscape that balanced the neutral wooden and botanical details, as well as showcasing their colorful fusion.

PartySlate LA Launch Party

600 400 Pacific Event Services

This summer, Pacific Event Services had the pleasure of teaming up with some the most talented event industry professionals to bring to life this gorgeous Los Angeles launch party for PartySlate. PartySlate brings a fresh new media platform to the industry where professionals are able to share their online portfolios of work ranging from luxury weddings, to mitzvahs and special events.

Over 400 people gathered at industrial chic Los Angeles venue At the P to celebrate the launch with impeccable decor, unique cocktails, and incredible cuisine. Shawna Yamamoto Event Design transformed the venue’s outdoor space into a romantic garden with tons of greenery and an elegant palette of white and blue decor. Wrought Iron furnishings set the tone for the design and crisp white florals in blue and white chinoiserie vases added romantic touches.

Inside, designer Rrivre Works played off of the “Cole” room’s industrial finishes by adding modern furnishings and mixed textures. Hanging greenery throughout and the combination of metal and wood pieces were the perfect combination to accentuate the exposed brick walls and wood beam ceilings. Live music and dancing waiters added some fun elements to the evening along with a photo booth, make-up touch ups by Blushington, and a Cappuccino Man. We were happy to illuminated the courtyard with PartySlate‘s branding and other lighting projections throughout the event that lent to the incredible atmosphere.

Special thanks to Brian Leahy Photography and Hoo Films for capturing the memorable moments!

how to pick av

How to Choose the Right AV Company

1024 683 Pacific Event Services

Regardless of the type of event you are planning – be it a very large one or a smaller one, a birthday party, an anniversary, a corporate event or a glorious wedding – we are more than certain you want this great day to be perfect from all points of view.

Of course, picking the right AV company to work with for the event is highly important – and for a number of reasons. The sound of the music will be better, the playlist will be better, people will be able to actually listen to the speeches, and, overall, the entire vibe of the event will be a lot better.

How do you choose the right Audio Video company, though? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • First of all, make sure they provide all services you need. It is highly recommended that you settle for a company that can cover as many of your needs as possible. Not only will it be easier for them to collaborate with each other, as colleagues, but it will also make things a lot easier for you, as you won’t have to run around and find too many vendors, for each of your specific needs.
  • Furthermore, you should also make sure they suit your style. For instance, if you are planning a rustic-chic wedding, you want to be certain this company can provide you with the type of sound system suitable for a rustic venue, as well as with the type of lighting that suits this wedding theme.
  • You need someone reliable. Ask them how long they have been in the business, what they can do in case something happens and they cannot come to the wedding, and, of course, what their previous clients think about them.
  • Last, but not least, you want to make sure they are actually specialists, especially when it comes to the technicalities. You don’t want your sound system to crack in the middle of your father’s speech, and you most definitely don’t want your fairy lights to turn into intermittent fireflies (or worse, go out completely). You NEED actual specialists to set the entire AV system up!

Be patient and do your research – we are more than certain you will be able to find someone who is actually worthy of your big event so that both you and your guests are 100% satisfied with the light, sound, and overall atmosphere!
