Ways to Use Lighting at Your Events

Regardless of whether you are planning for a birthday party or for a wedding, lighting is a crucial element you cannot actually skip. After all, you want your lighting to complement all of the other elements – the ones you really handpicked one by one.

What are some of the best ways to use lighting at your events? We have some tips for you – so read on if you need just a bit of inspiration for your next big event.

  • Gobo lighting. This type of lighting is especially popular among events that follow a modern-elegant aesthetic, but you have definitely seen it look amazing in other contexts too. Choose gobo lighting if you want to add a pop of energy the vibe created at your wedding! It will look equally amazing with your wedding monogram, with your company’s name, or with any other meaningful words you want to project on the walls.
  • Up lighting. Want to add color to a simple wedding venue? Nothing simpler, really. With modern up lighting technology, the entire room can be bather in your favorite color, so that it complements the rest of the décor and your personality as well. Very popular with modern chic weddings too!
  • Be them electric or very traditional, candles have something very romantic about them. Place them in the middle of the table for a warm and welcoming centerpiece, or place them along the walls of the venue if you want to create a magical, old-school vibe every single guest there will love.
  • Planning a vintage, retro, or simply an outdoor wedding? Lanterns are crazy popular with weddings, anniversaries, and wide range of other events too. If you want to create a gorgeous vintage appearance, opt for antique-looking lanterns (place them on the tables, on the pathway leading to the venue entrance, or simply hang them above the dance floor). If you want something a bit more playful, paper lanterns in your party’s colors are a very, very good choice too!

No matter what type of lighting you may choose for your next event, remember that hiring a professional to deal with it all is a very important step in making sure everything looks flawless. So, go ahead, find a lighting service provider who is reliable, honest, and who knows how to combine your wishes with your venue and the décor there. It will be worth every penny!

Event Signage Ideas

Planning a big event soon? We bet you want every single detail to look absolutely flawless – and we definitely understand the importance of this. Regardless of whether it’s a birthday party, an anniversary, a corporate event, or a wedding, this is a big moment in your life and you want to celebrate it in high style.

Of course, you will want to include one of those fun event signs and messages too – but how do you do it? We have gathered some of the most popular ideas for you – so read on and inspire yourself.

  • Neon lights. Perfect for those of you who want their message to really pop! It may be a simple “Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad”, or it may be the date of your wedding. If you want your signage to be more than energizing, neon lights are absolutely perfect. And yes, they can be worked into a more elegant décor too – but you do have to use your creativity for something really nice.
  • Video mapping. This is one of the freshest newcomers in the event signage and lighting tech spectrum – but it is by far one of the most impressive ones too. A beautiful video containing colors, stars, words, and basically everything you want can be projected on a white object – such as the cake, the wedding dress, or any other part of the venue. This idea will make your event look absolutely mesmerizing.
  • Twinkle lights. Those adorable little lights everyone’s including in their outdoor weddings and events? Yep, they can be used as signage too. You don’t have to be very thorough with the message – a simple “LOVE” or the name of your company can be written “in the air” or on a wall with the help of twinkle lights. They will look so pretty, so beautiful, and they will create such a cozy atmosphere!
  • The already classic blackboard is another great way of adding powerful messages to your event. If you want to make it pop, you can decorate the blackboard with lights too – or, why not, you can use classic backstage mirrors as your “canvas” too. Either way, these ideas are perfect for those who love a casual, old-school, but smart-and-sassy event.

The sky is the only limit you have when it comes to event signage – so don’t be afraid to step out of the box and think of ideas that are totally unique. We bet it will look impressive for your wedding!

 Video Trends in Events

Planning a wedding, a big anniversary, or a corporate event soon? We know just how much work goes into pulling together all the details of such a big event – and we also know how important it is for you that guests feel absolutely amazing during the celebration.

Videos can add a lot to your event, but keep in mind that it is very important to incorporate them the right way. What are some of the latest trends to inspire you when planning the videos for your wedding or corporate event? We have gathered them right below – so read on and find out more.

  • Video mapping. By far one of the biggest trends of the last couple of years, video mapping has made it huge in pretty much every type of event out there. From an “underground” trend to an idea used in large concerts all over the world, video mapping has grown to be very, very popular. The reason it’s so widespread? Well, it is magical: just imagine projecting your love story on your wedding dress as you move along the steps of your First Dance and you will understand why video mapping is so highly acclaimed!
  • Replacing the PowerPoint presentation. Slideshows are almost obsolete these days – so if you want to share some old pictures or important information, it is better to create a video out of this, instead of the old-school PowerPoint presentation. Yes, it might take more effort (financially and otherwise) – but it will be more than worth it!
  • Creating an experience. Videos these days are not even by far just about the video itself. They are part of an experience. The dimmed colored lights or fairy lights, the music playing on the background at the right sound volume, the quality of the video itself – everything matters. Provide your guests with more than just a film – provide them with a memory, with a feeling, with truly sensitive entertainment!
  • Live feeds. Share your first dance live on Facebook, in the highest quality! Share that amazing speaker with your business platform! Share the entire event with someone who couldn’t make it there! The options are literally limitless. With Internet at your fingertips, you can actually move across borders and spaces to send across your message. Isn’t technology downright amazing?

Of course, you don’t have to adopt all of these video trends in event planning – but you can definitely “steal” these ideas and make them more personal, adjust them to your particular event and its main purpose. Have fun while doing this – it will definitely transpire in the final product!

how to pick av

How to Choose the Right AV Company

1024 683 Pacific Event Services

Regardless of the type of event you are planning – be it a very large one or a smaller one, a birthday party, an anniversary, a corporate event or a glorious wedding – we are more than certain you want this great day to be perfect from all points of view.

Of course, picking the right AV company to work with for the event is highly important – and for a number of reasons. The sound of the music will be better, the playlist will be better, people will be able to actually listen to the speeches, and, overall, the entire vibe of the event will be a lot better.

How do you choose the right Audio Video company, though? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • First of all, make sure they provide all services you need. It is highly recommended that you settle for a company that can cover as many of your needs as possible. Not only will it be easier for them to collaborate with each other, as colleagues, but it will also make things a lot easier for you, as you won’t have to run around and find too many vendors, for each of your specific needs.
  • Furthermore, you should also make sure they suit your style. For instance, if you are planning a rustic-chic wedding, you want to be certain this company can provide you with the type of sound system suitable for a rustic venue, as well as with the type of lighting that suits this wedding theme.
  • You need someone reliable. Ask them how long they have been in the business, what they can do in case something happens and they cannot come to the wedding, and, of course, what their previous clients think about them.
  • Last, but not least, you want to make sure they are actually specialists, especially when it comes to the technicalities. You don’t want your sound system to crack in the middle of your father’s speech, and you most definitely don’t want your fairy lights to turn into intermittent fireflies (or worse, go out completely). You NEED actual specialists to set the entire AV system up!

Be patient and do your research – we are more than certain you will be able to find someone who is actually worthy of your big event so that both you and your guests are 100% satisfied with the light, sound, and overall atmosphere!
